The Palm Springs Regional Association of REALTORS® (PSRAR) is the premier source for real estate professionals promoting excellence through education, advocacy and ethics.
The committees of the Palm Springs Regional Association are the heart of the organization in that they aid the elected leadership in developing the future direction for the Board of Realtors. Ideas begin at the committee level and motions/recommendations are taken to the Board of Directors for approval. Once approved, a combination of committee members and staff implement the objective. Meeting days are N/A.
This committee, chaired by Barry Rodgers (firstname.lastname@example.org), focuses on the needs of the affiliate member and identifies ways in which the use of the affiliates for REALTOR related services can be enhanced. It also provides the affiliate with a vehicle for communicating special needs to the Board of Directors.
Chaired by Jon Cyr, this committee reviews the quarterly financial statements for the Board. The committee works with the Executive Officer in developing budgets and setting dues/fees to fund annual budgets.
This committee is chaired by Melinda Tremaglio (email@example.com). CPR Committee is currently working on projects to find effective ways to distribute information to the members including the board website, and new media options. Additionally, this committee is tasked with developing relationships with the local media and coordinating press releases. The mission of the communications and public relations committee is to communicate the goals, vision, accomplishments, initiatives and positions on industry issues of the Palm Springs Regional Association of Realtors via the trade press and consumer publications. Meeting days are TBA.
Chaired by Karen Joy (firstname.lastname@example.org). Many Realtors remember the “Condo Book” and have expressed interest in updating it from its 1992 version to an on line version that can be a member benefit for PSRAR. We are working to update and put on our website for members only. Also the condo committee is involved in the on-going legislative update regarding the fee structure being charged to sellers by management companies. We also will educated our condo associations regarding FHA approval/renewal and any other Davis Sterling items that Realtors need to be aware of.
Chaired by Michael Larson (Michael@michaellarson.net). The Mission of the Education committee is to provide opportunities to the PSRAR membership for enhancing knowledge to benefit the agent’s careers and, therefore the experience of their clients. Meetings are held the 1st Monday of every month from 2-3.
Chaired by Roy Rigsby (Roy@desertrealestate4you.com), this committee reviews all complaints regarding Code of Ethic violations. Special Professional Standards Training courses are prerequisites for service on this committee. Meetings will be held as needed.
Chaired by Jim Franklin (email@example.com) , the committee has two objectives, first – it focuses on staying current with local government activity affecting real estate in Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Desert Hot Springs and Indio as well as developing a pro-active relationship with city representatives; secondly – it takes on the responsibility of encouraging members to contribute to the Political Action Fund and make recommendations on uses of IMPAC funds. Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 10-11.
This committee chaired by Gail Perry (Gmperry1@verizon.net) strives to build membership by reaching out to share the advantages of the Organization. The Committee also works to develop new perks which will benefit Realtors and Affiliates in their professional roles. Lastly, the Committee acts as Good Will Ambassadors to ensure members are happy and engaged. We welcome Realtors and Affiliates who might enjoy our mission, to join our Committee! Meetings are held the 3rd Monday of every month from 1-2.
This committee chaired by Frank Alvarez (firstname.lastname@example.org) explores various programs and service enhancement to meet the needs of the membership. They make recommendations to the Board on proposals as well as oversee the enforcement of MLS policy bylaws and issue citations as necessary. Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 1-2.
This committee is chaired by Darcey Deetz (darcey@darceydeetzcom) and handles complaints forwarded by the Grievance Committee. Special Professional Standards Training courses are prerequisites for service on this committee. Meetings are held as needed.
Chaired by Johnsie Walsh (email@example.com) and Mike Benthall (firstname.lastname@example.org), this committee coordinates specific events for the Board including fundraisers and mixers to benefit local charities and the Board. A list of preferred charities and projects as submitted by members are approved by the Board of Directors. Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 12-1.
Chaired by Henry Hampton (Henry@louisehampton.com), YPN has no age limitation. The committee strives to combine the experience of leadership (those who have been in leadership positions) with the newer agents who aspire to leadership positions. YPN is also known to be forward thinking, coordinating educational lunch and learns and mixers to share the technology with the experience. Meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of every month from 2-3.
